About Us
We first met at the edge of Lough Neagh in August 2005. Neither of us can remember the actual date. Mutual friends (Chris and Tish Meenan) had loaned Jo a bike, and given Niall B&B so they could take part in the Lough Neagh triathlon. It was a rather scary experience as Jo couldn't swim but Niall's famous saying is "you can't sink in a wetsuit". While it's true that you can't sink, you also don't move anywhere fast but Jo finished the swim portion eventually and made up enough time on the bike and run to make the post race meal.
We went to Belfast after the race for coffee and chocolate cake. Chocolate cake figured highly and often on our dates! Unfortunately we both suffer from the athletic nemisis that is a sweet tooth. Niall managed to give Jo some very dodgy directions to get out of Belfast, his sense of direction hasn't improved either, no wonder he is not allowed to drive at work.

We spent the first couple of years commuting between Dublin and Cork doing the long distance thing. Eventually Jo moved to Cork and we now live on and Island (Cobh) in East Cork, approximately 25 km from Cork City. We continue to take part in sports and do some part time coaching.
